Estimator, Voice/Data & Low Voltage

3c Business Solutions, is looking for an individual to find and qualify opportunities in preparing and submitting estimates for construction projects.

Responsibilities: 

• Must meet financial objectives by accurately forecasting both labor and materials requirements for each project
• Responsible for the preparation of job scopes and accurate bill of materials.
• Prepare cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services.
• Must foster relationships with contractors, vendors, and customers that will result in profitability for the company.
• Generate change orders and extra work requests.
• Prepare RFI's as requested.
• Participate in walk-throughs with perspective knowledge towards detail for layouts, etc.
• Identify new business opportunities and projects to bid. Design cabling schematics, layout of IDF, MDF, and MPOE.
• Knowledge of building codes and wiring standards, including BICSI guidelines and EIA/TIA standards.
• Eligible candidates will be proficient in all copper, and fiber optic cabling as well as have a knowledge of CCTV, camera systems, and wireless access systems. 
• Meet bid submittal deadlines.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated decision-making skills.
• Attention to details, written, and in the field.
• Ability to listen and understand the customer's needs and budget constraints. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy at all times.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
• Must be able to pass a health physical, random drug screening, and a criminal background check.
• Must have a clean driving record, valid/current Utah Drivers License, and auto insurance.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of copper and fiber cabling.
• RCDD is strongly preferred but not required.
• Experience in change order negotiation.

Successful applicants will be compensated based on the level of years of experience in the low voltage construction industry. Candidates will be selected from the Salt Lake/Ogden area.
